This book is the perfect blend of love and magic. It will give you a book hangover and leave you wanting so much more from the characters you have just met.
I was given Obsidian Feathers as an ARC. I was so excited about it. A BIPOC author and a plus sized main character in a fantasy romance. I was in love with the concept, and then I got the book.
This book was better then I expected. I, having ADHD and being plus sized , had felt seen in the main character. Her weight didn’t slow her down, it didn’t make the main love interest lover any less if anything it made him lover more. The Female lead was feisty and smart and brave and absolutely amazing. I just loved the way the author wrote her.
The male lead has been my favorite male lead in a book in a long time. He is grumpy handsome and the actual definition of TALL, DARK AND HANDSOME. He has character and grown in the book and he know where the clit is. Driven by love of his people, friends and most. importantly his partner. He treats her as his equal. A. well written man and one of my top book boyfriends.
The story line is well written and well paced. I was hook with the first paragraph and I was reading this book any chance I got and have been recommending it every chance I got. A few repeated workds throughout the book. I think its a push of the importance of the thing that word discribed. Thanks to a Booktoker friend I cannot unsee repeat words. Dont be discouraged from that though. The story is amazing . I will always recommend this book.
The author is unproblematic and even made a tiktok on how to pronounce some of the characters names and some of the phrases in the book. If you arent sure how to pronounce cetain things.
This book is a 5 star read and that has nothing to do with the spice.

The spice is well written. This book is classified as a monster fucker and it is my first one of this genre and if they are all like this I am defiantly a fan now. It is about a wolf shifter, but not a werewolf. Not to be confused. It is a dark romance. And anyone who knows me knows I love a good dark romance and this is defiantly one of my top reads.
